While You’re Waiting

Singles , let me be blunt with you… temptations will always come. If Jesus was tempted…you can be certain that you will be, too. It’s what you choose to do in those moments, that is training you for how you will be when you do get married. Understand that marriage doesn’t cure lust, heal brokenness,…

Hope for Uganda 2017

This summer, I will be returning to Uganda, for 2 months! I was there for an entire month last year, and this year, God has opened up doors for me to return and take a team back with me this time!!!

We’ll be training the worship team for a new church, working with the street children at Child Restoration Outreach ( http://www.croug.org ) , leading worship at several area churches, doing some programs in the primary schools, and doing discipleship and teaching in the villages.

You Can’t Argue with a Changed Life…Is Your Life Really Changed?

Some of you read my words…but you don’t really get it. You see my posts, or read my blog…and you think it’s just some cute little inspirational thing. But you don’t take seriously what is behind these words. Some of you think that I’m just sitting around, waiting for my #dearfuturehusband to come…

Thy Will Be Done, or My Will Be Done

I have a tendency to believe God for some crazy things. Like the kind of stuff that if you actually tell someone you’re believing for it, they laugh like they think you’re joking. But time after time as I read my Bible, not once do I see God calling me to just pray…

Who You Are

“It isn’t working.” “God has forgotten you.” “You aren’t good enough to receive THAT.” “It’s never going to happen.” “Things are never going to change.” “You’re a failure.” “Why do you even try?”         Any of those sound familiar? Thoughts. They sneak into your head (especially when you’re vulnerable) and…

Between Ashes and Beauty

God said something to me this morning, that explained a concept that I wasn’t fully grasping. He said: “Some things can’t grow to their full capacity, until they are in the right environment.” @LauraPLytle      I knew exactly what He meant. I’m in a transitional season. Though I can’t share exactly what that means…

Pursue?

If you read the posts that I write to singles or in regards to dating, you’ve definitely heard me use the word “pursue”. I talk about how “love pursues” and how a man should pursue a woman. Christian singles understand that a Godly man pursuing a Godly woman is a good thing. But…

The Wooing of a Bride

Let me first say, that I’m all for some of the positive changes that have come about in my generation. Technology has advanced to an amazing level. Better treatments, and cures for some diseases have been found. Music has transformed in a lot of amazing ways. They finally stopped selling Twinkies as food. You know,…

Surrender

It’s often difficult to let go of the things that we want…things that aren’t for us, and aren’t God’s best for us. But there is so much freedom in surrendering those desires to the Father, and allowing Him to give you peace as He carries out His plan for you. I find…

Dear Future Husband,        Truly learning to love you has been an ongoing process. I didn’t just wake up one day, and know how. Every day, I love you more, and that will continue all the way into eternity. But I’m not learning from people, I’m learning from the Father. And before I…

God, is that You???

I prayed about what “gift” I could give to all of you this Christmas season, and God led me to write these down! People often ask me how I know when I’m hearing from God. So, here you go…  6 Ways to Know It’s God Calling You to Do Something, ( and not just you…

Reflecting on 2016

While reflecting on 2016, I’ve expounded on a blog that I wrote in 2015. Why? Because some of those points are still extremly relevant. And though I learned those things in 2015, as I wrote back then…I experienced them, and learned them to a much deeper extent this past year.  …
